SUMMARY:NJLTAP – Public Sidewalk Curb Ramp Inspection (In-Person)
DESCRIPTION:Course Description:\nThis 1-day workshop will cover the current curb ramp and sidewalk criteria in parts of Sections 5.6.4\, 5.7.1\, 5.7.3 and 5.7.4 of the current version of the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) Roadway Design Manual for public sidewalk curb ramps. It will also include the corresponding NJDOT Standard Construction Details and NJDOT Sample Plans for public sidewalk curb ramp inspection and construction. \nThis workshop will include curb height\, sidewalk criteria\, parts that make up a curb ramp\, types and placement of curb ramps\, and pedestrian accommodations with signals and push buttons\, islands and driveways. NJDOT Sample Plan curb ramp layout details will be discussed. This workshop will also include the use of the curb ramp type tables in the constructions details and one class problem using these tables.
