Route 35, Barnegat Avenue to Kerr Avenue​

Lavallette Borough and Toms River Township, Ocean County, New Jersey

NJDOT is conducting a roadway improvement study along Route 35 between Barnegat Avenue and Kerr Avenue in Toms River Township and Lavallette Borough, Ocean County. The study aims to enhance safety and improve pedestrian and bicycle facilities in accordance with NJDOT’s Complete Streets Policy.

Route 130, Pedestrian Bridges: Concept Development Study​

NJDOT is studying three pedestrian bridges over Route 130 at Garfield Avenue, Federal Street, and Merchantville Avenue. The study aims to identify repairs focusing on deck and structural improvements, while also exploring ways to enhance pedestrian mobility and accessibility.

Route 23, Master Street to Scenic Lake Road

Franklin Borough and Hamburg Borough, Sussex County, New Jersey

NJDOT is conducting a Concept Development (CD) Study along Route 23 between Master Street and Scenic Lake Road in the Boroughs of Hamburg and Franklin, Sussex County. The study aims to improve safety by addressing roadway issues and reducing the frequency and severity of crashes. As part of this effort, NJDOT will explore opportunities to enhance safety for all users, motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists, in alignment with the Department’s Complete Streets Policy.
