NJLTAP – AI for Transportation Professionals (Webinar)

August 18 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Course Description:

Artificial intelligence is showing up everywhere — and your community’s administrative work is no exception. Whether you’re drafting public notices, summarizing lengthy technical documents, or troubleshooting a field challenge, AI tools can save you real time and help you do more with less. This course is designed to introduce local government and public works professionals to the practical, everyday applications of generative AI — no technical background required. Whether you’re brand new to AI or have already experimented a bit, you’ll walk away with concrete ideas, smarter prompting strategies, and a clearer sense of where AI fits — and where it doesn’t — in your workflow.

At the completion of this course, you will understand the landscape of available AI tools and how to choose among them, learn how to craft effective prompts for a range of real-world tasks, and have a better understanding of the ethical considerations, disclosure requirements, and best practices for responsible AI use in a public-sector context.
